It’s important to check with your insurance company to understand what your plan covers for therapy and mental health services, including telehealth. You may want to ask whether your plan includes mental health benefits, whether telehealth sessions are covered, whether you have a deductible or copay, and if there is a limit to the number of sessions per year. Insurance companies also require a mental health diagnosis in order to process claims.
